We, Devinder and Tim, the founders, have always been passionate about ginger beer, which in turn led us to start brewing it in our home in Amsterdam.

In search of the perfect ginger beer, we crafted the recipe for a small try-out. We created something which is less sugary, healthy and authentic. Within no time, our ginger beer became very popular among friends and family. 

The popularity and feedback seeded the idea for us to start producing the ginger beer for local restaurants and cafes, in and around Amsterdam.

The idea behind the drinks produced by Amsterdam City Farm is to provide people with a healthy, delicious, organic and wholesome alternative to alcoholic drinks, to be had with good food, or as a refreshing alternative for a beer on the beautiful terraces of Amsterdam.

Freshness is something that people not only expect, but demand in most of the things they consume, therefore every bottle at Amsterdam City Farm is crammed full of fresh, delicious and organic ingredients.

Make sure you give the bottle a gentle shake before opening, so all the goodness is blended once again and you can thereby enjoy it to the fullest.

We know how satisfying it is to enjoy a nice authentic ginger beer and this is why, at Amsterdam City Farm, we brew with only the finest, top quality, organic ingredients.

When we started making our ginger beer, we dreamt of having our own place where people could come in and try our ginger beer together with great food. Now, we have made that dream come true by having opened up our very own Amsterdam City Farm Tasting Room & Restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam. This has been an exciting journey for us and we have a strong focus on serving the freshest of ginger beer and food to our customers.

Sustainability Vision

We want our drink to go easy on mother earth and the creatures living on it.

We are doing the following things in order to make our brand and drink as sustainable as possible, and we will take you through these points one by one.

Organic

We strongly believe that chemicals cannot be beneficial to the environment or the people consuming our products, nor are they required to having high quality ingredients.

Amsterdam City Farm, therefore only uses organic ingredients in its current products, and will only use organic ingredients in any future product.

Carbon Neutral / Carbon Negative

We are well on our way to becoming carbon neutral, but our aim is to go even further and become carbon negative by growing most of our produce locally ourselves.

Circular economy

Our goal is zero waste by using whatever ingredients and materials our suppliers provide us with. All leftover ingredients and materials are used by our customers and partners to create new dishes or new products.

Collaboration

Our philosophy is to Borrow before Rent before Buy. This way we ensure that we do not buy anything that we that we do not need to, and thereby lower our footprint.

We therefore heavily rely on partners that share that philosophy.

We value clean water and our oceans, and therefore keep our products completely plastic free.
